Show Shirt Purchases AVAILABLE NOW! LAST DAY TO ORDER IS Friday Aug 29^th: GO TO THE BAND STORE TO ORDER TODAY!

This Friday is the last day to order show shirts for all of band fans and family members. Parents, please ensure that when you purchase your shirts you include your band students name on the order so that we know who to give the shirts to when they arrive in bulk. A reminder to all parents that band students already get a shirt with the payment of the fair share contribution earlier this year and do not need to reorder a second one unless they personally would like to. The students will wear/perform in these show shirts on competition days. We encourage all our parents, siblings, and friends to purchase them and wear them with pride at all of our shows. Represent OUR band family!

MON 8/25 Parent Night Rehearsal

CALLING ALL BAND PARENTS!!! Thank you for the parents who came out on Thursday. We apologize we weren’t able to get outside that evening due to weather but, we are hoping to tomorrow night. We are looking for your support for this year’s football games and band competitions. As many of our veteran parents know we quite literally have seconds before the band is needed to start performing at all football games and competitions. This means we need plenty of hands to help our students with water during games, rope off our stadium section, assemble props, pull trailers, organize wraps & uniforms, and serve our band family. We will be hosting two evenings this year to help explain our process and what is expected of all volunteers. We will be meeting in the band room at 6:45pm. The boosters will discuss where you can access all materials and where items will be transported and loaded for games and competitions. Directly after our meeting, we will head to the practice field and help do a run through with the band in real time. The goal is to get our set up process faster than 3 minutes and break down faster than 2 minutes. At competitions we are only allotted 15 minutes total for set up, performance, and tear down. Otherwise we get points taken off our score for every 10 seconds that we are still on the field. Thank you for all your support.

Booster Hub Booster Bucks Fundraiser Update

Our Booster Hub Booster Bucks Fundraiser is happening NOW!

So far, we have raised $6,664.45 of the $10,000 goal in just one week. Keep it up band family!

Our top 3 earners (1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd) so far are Emily S. $675.00, Brody S. $645.00 & Lucas A. $525.00. Way to go band let’s keep the momentum going by sharing our fundraiser with all of our family and friends!

I have received a few questions regarding how to sign up for the fundraiser. The following steps should help:

Step 1 Ensure You Are Registered On BoosterHub

To sign up for Booster Hub, start by visiting our website, prideofsunrise.org, and click the Register Now link in the homepage menu near the top right. You may need to click on the drop down menu if using a mobile device. You will fill out a brief registration form and, once approved, you will receive an email with directions for completing your registration and downloading the app. From there you are able to access our fundraiser rally page.

Step 2 Ensure You Are Registered On BoosterHub

Begin creating your fundraising profile. The instructions for doing this are in the PDF attached to this email.

Students strive to collect 10-20 contacts to send messages to rally donations. If any of them have questions, or they are not getting the invite to join the fundraiser please reach out to Cyndi Sankar at Cynthia.Sankar@prideofsunrise.org

Additionally, as an incentive for raising the most amount of funds the TOP 5 will be able to silly string the staff. Thank you students and parents for all your support!

Playing Assignments/Practice Records

• Playing Assignment #2 and Tuning Tendency Charts are due tomorrow Monday 8/25 by the end of the day.
• Check offs for Movement 3 memorization will be due this coming Thursday Night.
• Practice records will be due on Monday 8/25 as well. For convenience I have attached the practice record to this email for you to print and sign.
