“Sounds at Sunrise” Marching Band Competition 10/11

We will be hosting our annual “Sounds at Sunrise” Marching Band Competition. Here are some reminders for you and your students:

• Itinerary attached to this email.
• Students will need to wear their SM Shirt, SM Shorts, and Vipers while helping on the day. For the performance itself they can change into their show shirt.
• Students should plan to eat prior to us meeting for rehearsal at 12:30pm as well as prior to performing that evening at 7:15pm.
• Please ensure your student brings their water bottle and sling.
• Call time for rehearsal is at 3pm on the main field.
• Any parents showing up to the competition to help with props need to be at the school no later than 7pm.
• Our performance is at 9:05pm. We will return to the school between 11:15 – 11:45pm that evening.
• Director’s packet, maps, and itinerary are attached for your convenience
• Directly after the performance it is expected that students stay till 11:00pm to help with clean up after the event.

“Sounds at Sunrise” Volunteer Signup

We're excited to host our upcoming Sounds of Sunrise Competition on 10/11. We still require approximately 50 volunteers within a limited timeframe, as our competition is shorter this year, to ensure the success of this day. Send it out to family and friends 😊See an Need, Fill a Need – It takes a village!! We appreciate all the help!

If you are willing to lend us your pop-up tent for the day, please sign up for a slot. These tents will be really helpful for shade during the event. We will make sure to take good care of them and return them right after. Please give us your name and phone number, so that we can contact you after the competition. We appreciate your help and support!

October 14^th Flag Football Game 5:00pm Call Time. Game Starts at 6:00pm.

Although we were unable to provide a feeder night this year, we wanted provide an optional pep band opportunity for any of feeder students who would still like to attend on October 14^th. This game is optional however, we have about 65% of the band who are able to attend this evening therefore, we will not only have our middle school students join us but will also support our girls Flag Football team who are trying to clinch a playoff spot this evening. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

• Practice records will be due on the Thursday we get back from Fall Break.
